Gerald Clifford Higens, 77 died Friday, Oct.1 after complications of heart by-pass surgery.

Gerald was born Jan. 13th 1933 in Indianola, Iowa. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College. Gerald and Maxine have resided in Tulsa for the last 34 years, where he was a rate analyst for Arrow Trucking. He enjoyed gardening and watching sports.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 46 years Maxine; daughter, Linda (James) Pearson; brother, Roger and sister, Verna Underwood; granddaughters Tara (Doug) Davis, Gina (Steve) Beahr; great granddaughter, Cassie Beahr; great grandsons, Corbin and Creighton Davis and many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held Oct. 4 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home, 501 W. Ashland Ave.  Indianola, IA 50125. Cards and condolences may be sent to the funeral home.
