Funeral service for Gerald "Jerry" Lee Breuklander, 57, who died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Kavanagh House Hospice on 56th in Des Moines, will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 8 at Overton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Goode Chapel Cemetery, rural Milo. Jerry was born to Hester (Higbee) Breuklander and Gerald "Jack" E. Breuklander on November 1, 1953 in Des Moines, IA. Jerry lived most of his life in Indianola where he graduated from Indianola High School in 1971. He worked many jobs over the years but most recently was employed by Cal's Fine Foods in Indianola. He is survived by his sister, Jacci (Rick) Runyan of Indianola; brother, Jim (Cindy) Breuklander of Seattle, Washington; nephews, Bryan (Erika) Runyan, Eric Runyan of Indianola, Josh Glatt of Cambridge Washington; nieces, Jenna (Mike) Dale, Taylor Breuklander of Indianola, Hester Breuklander and Amber Hurt of Cambridge, Washington; 2 great nephews, 8 great nieces, 4 aunts, 2 uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Hester Breuklander; brother, Jay Breuklander and his grandparents. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in his name.
