A Celebration of Life Visitation for George William Snodgrass, 90, who passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at home, will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 18 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.

George Snodgrass was born July 29, 1926 in Spruce, Missouri the son of Arthur Marvin and Thelma Flo (Sargent) Snodgrass.  He served in the United States Army from January 21, 1945 until his discharge on November 17, 1946.  He was united in marriage to Phyllis Dean Cue on April 26, 1947 and to this union four children were born, Brad, Mark, Pam and Melissa.

George was a self-employed finish concrete layer for over 35 years.  He was a member of the American Legion Post # 165, and avid hunter and fisherman, loved to camp and travel.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Dean (Cue) Snodgrass; parents; brother, Kendall Snodgrass and a grandson Joe Snodgrass.

George  is survived by children, Brad (Jane) Snodgrass, Mark (Cindy) Snodgrass, Pam (Neil) Nelson and Melissa (Rob) Dickenson; brother, Jerry (Rosemary) Snodgrass; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Kate Elgin, Gladys Snodgrass and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post # 165 in Indianola.
