George Edward Martin 63, died on April 17 at Kavanagh House on 56th St. He was born in Davenport, Iowa on December 15, 1944. He is preceded in death by his parents. George is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathy of Indianola, three daughters; Nicole (Dan) Zahn of Des Moines, Erin (Jason) Marcel of Des Moines and Tricia Martin of Indianola. He is also survived by two grandsons, Maxwell and Carter Zahn of Des Moines and his sister, Carol Wiggins of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM on Sunday, April 20th at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. The family will be present to greet friends from 6-8 PM. The funeral will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 21 at First United Methodist Church in Indianola. A private family burial will be held a few days later.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to First United Methodist Church of Indianola Building Fund, the Des Moines Metro Opera and Hospice of Central Iowa.
