Gene Flynn, 83, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009, at Bright Kavanagh House. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Eva Grace (Middleswart) Flynn and many other family members and friends. A private committal service with military honors is planned at a later date at the Belmont Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines or Belmont Cemetery, Milo, Iowa.
