Galen Lee Pottorff, 58, of Indianola, met his maker on June 6, 2023, when he passed peacefully in his sleep following a heart attack. He was a resident of Indianola, Iowa and graduated from Indianola High School in 1983. Galen's hobbies included gardening, fishing, spending time with family and watching football, especially the Chicago Bears.

Survivors include his parents, Garold and Gloria Pottorff; brother, Greg Pottorff; sister, Gaylene Jones; daughter, Rebecca Mendez; and grandchildren, Scarlett and Liam Mendez.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 1 to 4 p.m., July 29th at the Salem Connections, 222 W. Salem Avenue, Indianola, Iowa.
