Services for Frederick Herman Hastie, 89, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at home, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Scotch Ridge United Presbyterian Church, rural Carlisle. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services, at the church. Burial will follow services in the Scotch Ridge Cemetery.

Fred was born March 13, 1932 in Hartford, Iowa to Ross and Louise Hastie.  Following graduation from Indianola High School, he entered the United States Army.  After his discharge, he became an over-the-road trucker.  He was a member of Scotch Ridge United Presbyterian Church and in retirement he enjoyed reading.

He is survived by his loving wife Pat; son, Jason Hastie; and grandchildren, Jack and Ria.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Louise Hastie.

Memorials may be given in Fred's name, to the Scotch Ridge United Presbyterian Church.
