Frederick (Freddie) Wayne Grgurich passed away April 22, 2020 peacefully at the VA Hospital in Des Moines, IA. He was born and raised in Lucas County and graduated from Chariton High School. Freddie served 2 tours, covering 3 companies in Vietnam, being awarded Navy Commendation Medal of Valor for over 200 combat patrols. Fred was a master mechanic most of his working life. He enjoyed watching college sports and spending time with his family, especially his grand kids. He loved being a Grandpa and took it very seriously.

Butch was proceeded in death by his parents, Steve and Leta Grgurich. He is survived by his wife, Anita; daughters, Courtney (Nick) Slattery and Kendra (Jason) Cantelope; grand kids, Ava, Liv, Waylon and Parker; and his brothers Steve and Randy (Colleen) Grgurich.

Celebration of Life services will be held 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 15 at the American Legion Hall, 105 W. 1 ^st Ave., Indianola.  Interment of cremains with military rites will be held 9:30 a.m., prior to services at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, IA.
