Visitation for Frank Nowasell, 89, of Indianola, who passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, will be held 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, October 21 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends. Cremation will follow visitation with inurnment to be held at a later date in the Scotch Ridge Cemetery next to his wife Donni.

Frank was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a life member of the American Legion and VFW.  He is survived by a son, Todd (Carola) Nowasell of (Berlin, Germany), Erika Nowasell of Des Moines, and Anika (Clark) Jackson of Indianola; as well as five grandchildren, Lacey Gamble, and Dallas, Grace, Olivia and Tanner Jackson, Milla Schweiger Nowasell; great-grandchildren, Liam Hall and Ella Gomez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donni.

In lieu of flowers, family invites contributions to be made to ChildServe Foundation, 5406 Merle Hay Road, P.O. Box 707, Johnston, IA 50131. The gifts will be added to the Nowasell Endowment Fund, a part of the Foundation's PARTNERS IN CARE Program.
