Francis Neil Sadler, 84, of Winterset, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026, at VA Central Iowa Health Care System in Des Moines, surrounded by family.

Francis was born on February 12, 1942, to Ivan Sadler and Vasca (Foust) Sadler. He grew up in Indianola, Iowa, and graduated from Indianola High School with the Class of 1960. Following graduation, Francis proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. He spent the remainder of his career working as an accountant until his retirement, and he proudly called Winterset home.

Francis enjoyed fishing, hunting, and, perhaps even more, Snickers, Reese’s, Pepsi, and being stubborn. Above all else, he loved being a devoted father and grandfather.

Francis is survived by his sons, Scott (Krystin) Sadler and Jason (Samantha) Sadler; and his grandchildren, Hayden, Bransen, Noah, and Abby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Vasca Sadler; and his siblings, Larry Sadler, Sue Houseman, and Ivan Jr. Sadler.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Liberty Center United Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Liberty Center Cemetery.
