Anne was born on July 8, 1927 to Paul and Elvina Powers Roby in Truro, Iowa, and was the 5th child and 4th daughter.
She graduated from Truro in 1944, with a class of 13. After graduation, she worked as a switchboard operator, during the time Robert served overseas in the Army, during WWII. Every other day, Anne wrote a love letter to her darling Bob, and he wrote to her the same.

Anne did his bookkeeping, secretarial and payroll for the business. Anne was one of the first to be a stay at home Mom, with the ability to work from home.
Anne was active in the VFW women's auxiliary, TOPS, KOPS, and First United Methodist Women. She loved flowers, cooking, family dinners, camping, gardening, and canning. She loved her family...family was always first.
Anne was able to stay in her own home until she was moved to Taylor House on September 5th.
We love you, Mom. We know you and Dad are together again.
Anne always said "if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours." She had a beautiful smile.
Anne is survived by her children, Bob (Jan) Parker Jr., John (Paula) Parker, Melinda Parker, Dennis (Julie) Parker and Julie (Jack) Daniel; eight grandsons, John (Heather) Parker Jr., Robert L. Parker III, Joshua (Misty) Parker, Dennis (Angie) Parker Jr., Philip (Rachel) Parker, Lance (Sarah) Parker, Joe (Tracey) Daniel and Jesse (Lynette) Daniel; five granddaughters, Jodi Lynn (Ray) DeMayo, Laura (Rob) Holland, Melissa Parker, Deidre (Ryan) Brown and Kristin (Paul) Coffelt; numerous great and great-great grandchildren. The visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Anne to Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines
