IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Felecia Ann
Grove
October 16, 1957 – June 15, 2025
Felecia Ann Grove, 67, of New Virginia, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025, after a courageous and faith-filled battle with cancer for over a decade.
Felecia was born on October 16, 1957, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late John and Joann Boyett. She grew up rooted in strong Christian values that would guide her throughout her life. On June 29, 1979, she married the love of her life, Tim Grove, beginning a beautiful journey of nearly 46 years together. Their love took them many places as they followed Tim's service in the United States Air Force, settling in Iowa in 1987.
Felecia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her three children: Kristin Woolverton (Ryan), with grandchildren Natalee and Logan; John Grove, with grandson Luke; and Heather Duckworth (Dustin), with grandchildren Aliyah, Emma, Wesley, and Jessa. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Darryl Boyett (Melinda).
In the early 1980s, Felecia worked at VICA before dedicating herself full-time to raising and homeschooling her children—a calling she embraced with grace and love. She had a gentle spirit, a gift for nurturing growth, and a love of learning that she passed down to her children and grandchildren.
Felecia loved flowers, playing the piano, camping, traveling, and cheering on her Alabama Crimson Tide. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her steadfast faith, even in the face of her illness, was an inspiration to all who knew her. She faced every trial with optimism, strength, and a deep trust in the Lord.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, June 20th, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, Iowa with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. A late lunch will be served following the service at the Woolverton home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Felecia's honor through her grandchildren's school, Strong Roots Christian School, 2205 W 2nd Ave, Indianola, Iowa 50125.
Felecia's legacy of faith, family, and quiet strength lives on in those who loved her.
