Faye was born in Warren County, Iowa where she resided all her life. She was a farm homemaker and won several awards for baking at the County Fair.

Faye is survived by her son, Dennis and a sister, Ilene Gibson both of rural Milo. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dittmer; a brother, Leland Gibson; and 3 sisters, Fern Gibson, Donna Allen and Olive Ball.

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 5:00 p.m, Sunday, April 22 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 3 - 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
