ED PRITCHARD Indianola Everett "Ed" Pritchard passed away November 17, 2011, in Houston, Texas. Ed spent the majority of his years in Iowa, living in VanWert and later in Hartford. He moved to Texas in September of 2011 to be closer to his children. Ed was born October 23, 1939, to Opal (Stump) and James Everett Pritchard. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Lyle Sinclair, and his sister, Dixie. He is survived by his son, Edward, daughter-in-law, Susan and Granddaughter, Amy; his son, Daryl and daughter-in-law, Lisa; and his stepsons, Paul and Larry "Bud" McLaughlin and their mother, Peggy. Ed is also survived by his dear sister, Faye, her husband Gene and many nieces and nephews. Ed spent his career in the trucking business, and was highly respected for his skills at delivering the impossible loads until he was diagnosed with parkinson's disease about 20 years ago. He was a much loved presence in the Hartford and Indianola area, with a generous heart and a dry wit that kept everyone guessing. Ed will be missed by numerous friends and neighbors. Special thanks from the family go to all the good people at the Chapel of Faith Church in Indianola. A memorial service and celebration of Ed's life will be held at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola the later part of April, 2012. Ed would have liked it this way. An announcement with the date will follow. Memorial donations in Ed's memory may be made to the Kiya Koda Humane Society in Indianola or the Clark County Animal Shelter in Osceola.
