Evelyn Marie Waters, 82, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006, 10:50 p.m. at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in the North River Cemetery.

Mrs. Waters was born September 8, 1923 to William and Ester McGee. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers and being around her family.

Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Johnny and Jack; and a brother, Dean McGee. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Everett; children, Janet (Gary) Bishop of Des Moines, Jerry Waters of Noblesville, IN; Judy (Harry) Piffer of Indianola and Joyce (Ed) Belew of Des Moines; a sister, Kathryn (Don) Starnes of DeSoto; brothers, Glen (JoAnn) McGee of DeSoto and Ray (Janice) McGee of Springfield, MO; 26 grandkids; 54 great-grandkids; and 18 great great-grandkids.

Visitation will be 3 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 30 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m.
