Evelyn Waunetta Markussen, 105, of Ankeny, Iowa, formerly of Indianola, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026. Services will be private. Burial was in the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, Iowa.

She is survived by her children, Pat (Paula) Markussen, Gwen (Tyrone Baskin) Harpster and Steven (Beth) Markussen; grandchildren, Mitchell, Tahnee, Brandi, Heather, Amber and Ian; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Markussen, parents Elmer and Sarah Applebee, grandson Tyce, sisters Bernice, Blanche, Violet and Eunice.

Memorials in memory of Evelyn may be given to the Indianola Regular Baptist Church.
