Born in Afton, Iowa, she had lived in Indianola for the past 32 years. A homemaker, she had previously lived on a farm southeast of Indianola. She enjoyed playing cards and quilting. Her grandchildren were very special to her.

Evelyn was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin; a daughter Barbara Jean Glass; 3 sisters; and 5 brothers.

She is survived by her son, Marvin "Bob" (Marie) Glass of New Virginia; a daughter, Kay (Arnold) Greubel of Indianola; a brother, Herald Sheesley of Altoona; a sister, Bernice Gray of Osceola; six grandchildren, Melinda (Dana) of St. Charles, IA, Mark (Wendy) Glass of Norman, OK, Melissa Glass-Madonia of New Virginia, Rob (Macushla) Glass of Goldsboro, N.C., Brent (Angela) Greubel of Lees Summit, MO, and Katie Greubel of Kansas City, MO; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, at Overton Funeral Home, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.; the family will be present 3:00-5:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa.
