Eva Mae Cole, 70, of Indianola, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at home.  Graveside services for Eva  Cole and Mary Dittmer will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa.

Eva was born on January 8, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Albert Cecil Cole Sr and Verna Mae (Hollingsworth) Cole.  She had lived in Indianola for almost 40 years working at Kiya Koda Humane Society for the same amount of time.  Eva's passion was working at Kiya Koda and shopping at Hobby Lobby in Des Moines.

Eva is survived by her brother, Albert (Aileen) Cole Jr. and sister, Martha Cole; brother-in-law Bill Essick and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Cole Sr. and Verna Mae Cole Underwood; sisters Mary Dittmer and Linda Essick.
