ESTHER MAY HUTCHCROFT Indianola Esther May (Tipton) Hutchcroft passed away on Dec. 2, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1928 in Liberty Center, IA to Claude and Leona M. (King) Tipton. She was married to Frederick Hutchcroft Jr. on October 26th, 1945. She is survived by husband, Fred; children, daughter Susan (Brad) Campbell of Bettendorf, IA, grandchildren Emily Gilbert and Jeremy Campbell, son Jim (Pam) of Indianola, grandchildren Nathan Stalder, Jennifer Hutchcroft, Rebecca (Shane) Thompson and son John (Michelle) of West Des Moines, grandchildren Clint (Michelle), Luke, Tessa and Sterling Short, Caitlyn McAninch. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Jarod Stalder, Carissa, Kendall and Jayce Gilbert and her brother Howard (Sue) Tipton of Indianola. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Amy Lynn. Esther was a wonderful housewife, mother and grandmother. She helped her husband on the farm all of her life. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning. She and Fred were members of Country Couples for years. She was an active member of the Center Chapel Church of Indianola for 55 years. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Center Chapel Church Hwy 92 West, Indianola, IA with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Center Chapel Church or Mercy Hospice of Johnston, IA.
