Celebration of Life services for Erwin Stewart Cook, 84, who passed away Friday, September 18, 2015, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 22 at the Middle River Friends Church, Carlisle, Iowa. Erwin was a minister for 54 years and pastored in churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa and the last being at Smyrna Friends for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Ardith; daughters, Trina (Jeff) Kenney, Darla (Mike) Hildreth; son, Sherwin (Mary) Cook; and eight grandchildren. His family and serving the Lord were his greatest joys in life. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 21 at the Middle River Friends Church. Memorials may be given to the family in his name for a memorial to be decided at a later date.
