Memorial services for Rev. E. Dwayne Madsen, 76, who passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center, will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 7, at the Norwalk United Methodist Church of which he was a member. Burial of cremains will be in the Norwalk Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Bernadine; sons, Skip Madsen, Philip Madsen and Jared Madsen; step-daughters, Angela Fedler and Cinda Quass; three grandchildren, Karla, Erin and Elijah Madsen; two great grandchildren; brother, Darrel Madsen; and sister, Sandra Barry. He was preceded by his parents, Fay and Hanna (Porter) Madsen; brothers, Robert and Larry; sisters, Delma Simpson, infant sister Doris Madsen, and Sheryl Miller. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 6 at the church where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Norwalk United Methodist Church or Indianola Good Samaritan Society, who had taken wonderful care of Dwayne for the last three years.
