Betti was born in Indianola and was raised in the Martensdale area of Warren Co, Iowa.  She had lived in Independence, MO. for the past 18 years and had worked for Comcast in Kansas City.  Betti enjoyed spending time at the lake in the Ozark's, working with youth groups and 4-H, baking cakes, dogs, and collecting hats.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Iona Halterman and sister, Barbara Halterman.

Betti is survived by her children, Klystell & Dean Abbott of Winterset, IA., Tracy & Anne Sudbrock and Sarah & Ed  Breeden of Indianola, Kurtis Sudbrock of St. Charles, IA, Amanda Sudbrock of Independence, MO.; brother, James & Peggy Halterman of Prole, IA, her companion George Vance of Independence, MO, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
