Elda Darlene Coles, 91, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 9, 2015, surrounded by family. Darlene was born February 24, 1924 to John and Bonnie Butler. She was united in marriage to Charles R. Coles on July 6, 1944. To this union four children were born. Darlene is survived by her children, John (Penny) Coles, Jim (Nindy) Coles, Linda (Lowell) Abarr, Jerry (Laura) Coles; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great great-grandchild and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parents and brother. Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 14 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Hospice or Temple of God Church.
