E dward M. Wood

Graveside services for Edward "Ed" Wood, 100, who passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 in Indianola, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday,
June 23 at Webb Cemetery, rural Norwalk.

Edward M. "Ed" Wood, was born May 2, 1918 in Spring Hill, Iowa to Edward R. and Luretta E. (McGlathen) Wood.      Ed farmed and lived in the Spring Hill Community most of his life.  He was united in marriage to Esther McCaughey and they raised two daughters, Linda and Ann. Following Esther's passing Ed was married to Mary Carmichael.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Esther, his second wife, Mary; daughter, Ann Ashford; brothers, James, Murray, Clive, Donald and John; and sister, Alice.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Ivyl) Moore; grandchildren, Garland Moore, Annette Sweeden, Allison Fenton and Larkin Moore; eight great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren; and brother Dale (June) Wood.

Memorial gifts may be given in his name to Kiya Koda Humane Society in Indianola.
