Edward Snyder was born March 24, 1943 to Edward and Margaret Snyder in Jersey City, New Jersey and passed away November 23, 2016 at the age of 73 years.

He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1961 and joined his brother and friends to attend Junior College in McCook, Nebraska.  He later earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Colorado University at Pueblo, Colorado.

Ed began teaching in the Delano High School District in January, 1968.  He loved learning and imparting knowledge to students, family, and friends.  He retired from teaching in 1999.  He was most proud when former students would stop and thank him for teaching them; something they didn't always appreciate at the time.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Kuney; daughter, Kimberly Kuney and her husband Juan Valladares; grandchildren, Anissa, Jorda, and Aiden Valladares; brother, Kenneth Snyder and his wife Sharon; sister-in-law, Patricia Lyman; nieces, Jennifer (Ken) Griest and Sarah (Matt) Wright; nephews, Christopher (Katie) Snyder, and Nicholas Lyman; mother-in-law, Marian Lyman; three great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
