Edna was born the daughter of Harley and Cora Sargent near Indianola on September 9, 1909. She was united in marriage to Cecil Hollingsworth on March 17, 1926 and their home was blessed with one daughter, Eleanor and one son, Lawrence.

She was employed at Boatman National Bank in Des Moines for 24 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Rebecka Lodge 111 of Indianola.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Carlisle of Fergus Falls, MN; grandsons, Dennis Carlisle of Fergus Falls, MN and Lenny Hollingsworth of Des Moines; granddaughters, Karol Gonzales of Omaha, NE, and Kelly Schooler of Hartford; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Clarke and Charlene Freuh; one brother, Howard Sargent; as well as other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil and son, Lawrence, her father and mother, five sisters and three brothers.
