EDITH I. PAGEL Des Moines Services for Edith I. Pagel, 89, who was born May 30, 1922 and died Friday, April 20, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Ia, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola. Survivors include her children, Barbara Chitwood of Nelson, MO, Janet (Roy) Broker and Linda (Clarence) Bartlett of Des Moines, Robert (Judy) Pagel of Madrid, Dennis (Rebecca) Pagel of Indianola and Gaylord (Diana) Pagel of Carlisle; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Guy and Stella McCulley; husband, Gerald; daughter, Carol Sue Pagel; granddaughter, Wendy Wood; and great-grandson, Christopher Foose. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston. The family would like to thank the staff at Fleur Heights Care Center and the doctors and staff at Mercy Hospital and Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
