Earlene was born in Des Moines Iowa. She had lived in Hutchinson, Kansas for many years where she worked for over 39 years and retired from the Hutchison Clinic. She attended the Peniel Church of The Nazarene in Hutchinson, where she helped fund and lead the "Caravan", a group of 1-6th grade boys and girls. She was also very involved with nursing home visitations and home visitations. She moved back to Indianola in 1997. She was also a Charter member of the Indianola Nazarene Church.

She is survived by her brother, Elon Wilkerson of Indianola; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family in her name.
