DUANE IRVIN LAW Indianola, IA Services for Duane Law, 90, who died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Winterset West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Visitation will be held prior to services from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Duane was born to Andrew Henry and Mary Lula (Demory) Law in Warren County, Iowa on November 12, 1920. On June 11, 1943 he was united in marriage to Marie L. Romback. Duane lived most of his life in Warren County where he had a trucking business. In 1970, he and Marie purchased a motel and later three motels before retiring and moving to Rogers, Arkansas in 1983. Duane had a yard care business in Arkansas; transferred cars; and drove transfers for a funeral home until 2000 when they moved back to Indianola. Duane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Indianola and attended as long as his health permitted. He is survived by his wife, Marie; daughter, Mrs. Ed (Dwanna Faye) Russell of Red Oak; son, Garry Dean Law of Des Moines; granddaughter, Mrs. Andrew (Tina Marie) Lynam of Tulsa, OK; grandson, Troy Wadsworth of Huntsville, AL; great-grandson, Nicholas Lynam of Tulsa, OK; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hubert and Harold Law; and a sister, Betty Marie Hill. Memorials may be given to the Indianola First United Methodist Church.
