Doyle was born in Valeria, Iowa and served in the United States Army. He farmed and raised turkeys for 20 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and owner of Borts Oil for 25 years. Doyle was a very loving person who will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, of Indianola; sons Don and Wyman (Sis) of Indianola, and Vernon (Christina) of Des Moines; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 4 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to The Good Shepherd Fund at The Village.
