Services for Dorothy P. Messamaker, 79, who passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the Village Health Care Center, will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 5 at Chapel of Faith Church in Indianola. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Belle Fountaine Cemetery in Tracy, Iowa.

Dorothy was born in Leighton, IA. She and her late husband Glen Messamaker who died in 1997, retired to Indianola n 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mary Winegardner, sister, Wilma McKim; and 2 grandchildren, Lindsay Ann Goodson and Maryann Messamaker.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Leland) Ruble of Indianola, Bob (Linda) Messamaker of Knoxville, Randy (Paula) Messamaker of West Burlington, Keith (Jackie) Messamaker of Harrisonville, MO., Kim (Terry) Goodson of Indianola and Scott (Debbie) Messamaker of Indianola; brother, Junior (Marie) Winegardner of New Sharon and sister, Nellie Helwig of Knoxville; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends. Memorials may be given to Chapel of Faith Church or Hospice of Central Iowa, Knoxville.
