Dorothy James, 86, passed away on January 8, 2008.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, at Overton Funeral Home with visitation from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, January 11 where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.  Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Dorothy Irene Onstot James was born August 29, 1921 to Ray and Esther (Allen) Onstot.  She enjoyed playing Bridge, gardening and her family.

Survivors include children, Dennis Lawyer of Indianola, Sandy (John) Marckmann of Beaman, and John (Lori) Lawyer of Indianola; grandchildren, Ben and Joe Lawyer, Deidre (Dennis) Moss, Josh (Lindsey) Surber, Matt Surber, Shanna (Todd) Zwanziger, Eric (Jen) Lawyer, Daniel (Rachel) Lawyer and Cole and Clay Simmons; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Schimelfenig; and brothers, Alfred Onstot and Ted Onstot.  She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Linda Rae Lawyer.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family to be used for a memorial at Buxton Park.
