Celebration of life Services for Dorothy Holland, 87, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at Overton Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m.  Memorials may be given, in memory of Dorothy, to the family in her name for a contribution at a later date.

Dorothy was born on November 17, 1937 to Herbert Kenneth and Grace Ernita (Breton) Cort.  She graduated from Woodside High School in Des Moines.  She was united in marriage to Donald Lee Holland on February 28, 1958.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Deaton, Linda (Shawn) Thompson, Cathy (Marc) DeBower, and Jody Holland. She was a proud grandmother to BJ (Amanda) Deaton, Cory Deaton, Kendall Holland, and great-grandsons, Easton, Nash, Wyatt, and Emmet.  She is also survived by siblings Barbara Cort, John Cort, Elaine (Tim) Wilson and Jerry Cort.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Holland; parents, Herbert and Grace Cort; sister, Kay Schurman and brother Jack Cort.
