Memorial services for Dorothy Anne Eggers, 72, of Indianola, who passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 in Des Moines, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2026 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Inurnment of cremains will be at a later date in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines.

Dorothy married her high school sweetheart on March 18, 1972. Together they had 2 children: Kaine and Jennifer. She was always very involved in her kid’s lives and had a great sense of humor. No matter what life brought her way, she always had a positive outlook. She had 4 grandchildren that she was very proud of and always made time for grandma days.

She worked for Des Moines University for over 40 years. In her later years, she went on countless adventures with her husband on their Harley-Davidson. She would always say “love you more” when saying goodbye.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Stephen Eggers; daughter, Jennifer (Jeremy) Sandy; grandchildren, Keegan Eggers, Jewell Sandy, Kelsie Eggers and Sutten Sandy. She was preceded in death by her son, Kaine Eggers; parents, Charles and Elizabeth Baird; brother, Richard Baird; and sister, Mary Baird.

Visitation will be held prior to services from noon to 1:30 p.m., at Overton Funeral Home. Memorials in memory of Dorothy may be given to The Helping Hand of Warren County.
