Services for Dorothy Blake, 69, who died Sunday, September 4, 2005 at her home, will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery near Milo.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7 from 3 – 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m.

Dorothy was born in Corning, Iowa and lived in Indianola for the last 43 years.  She worked for the Indianola Schools many years and retired in 1996, after which she worked part-time in various administrative offices at school.

She is survived by her husband Leon; son, Ron (Michelle) Blake of San Diego, CA; daughters, Brenda (Bob) Reid of Brooklyn Park, MN, Lynn Madsen of Indianola; brothers, Fay Johnson of Ogallala, NE, Ben Johnson of Lone Tree, IA.; sisters, Helen Weeks and Opal Dillard of Indianola and Joyce Coffman of Milo; two grandchildren, Dakota and Jacob Reid; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or Chapel of Faith Church.
