Graveside services for Doris L. Lehman,97, who passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2014 at The Village in Indianola, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4 in the Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic, IA. Doris was born March 12, 1917, southeast of Cumberland, IA and attended rural school in Edna Township graduating from Cumberland High School in 1935 with oratorical speaking honors in declam. On June 3, 1939, she was married to Maurice Lehman at the Nelson home. They resided in Atlantic and later in Cumberland where she was a telephone operator and homemaker. Doris was a member of the Cumberland Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Bide-a Wee Club. She is survived by her daughters Margo Mosher of Indianola, Twila (Clifford) Pribnow of Woodbury, MN; three grandchildren, Ted (Kim) Mosher of Lawrence, KS, Raynell (Ted) Helmich of Sac City, IA, and Kelly (Stacy) Putney of Lacona, IA; eight great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Lehman; son-in-law Bob Mosher; parents Charles and Marie Nelson; four brothers, LeRoy, Edwin, Harold and Glen Nelson; sisters, Evelyn Walker and Della Holste.
