Donald Clarence Shelton, 73, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines.  No services are planned at this time.

Don was born March 31, 1947, in Ceylon, MN.  He graduated from Ceylon High School then attended mechanics school before entering the United States Army serving in Vietnam.

He was united in marriage to Jodi Lynn Van Ekeren on March 21, 1981.  They had lived in rural St. Charles for the past 30 years.  He retired as a Golf Car Mechanic also running his own shop in St. Charles.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, listening to music and playing the guitar loudly!

Don is survived by his wife, Jodi Shelton; children, Dawn (Umang) Kasotia and grandson, Arjun Kasotia; sisters, Donna Prull and Betty Davis.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Maxine Shelton, brothers-in-law, Durwood Prull and Ron Davis.
