She was born in Gillman, Illinois on August 31, 1924 to Fred and Carrie Gocken. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Raymond, who passed away in January 2001.

She is survived by her brothers, Eugene Gocken of Florida and Ted (Colleen) Gocken of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by her nephew, Drew (Kathleen) Gocken of Indianola, who provided her care; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Dolores was one of three girls with Stephanie Yarsley Weyland and Marjorie Steidinger Mills who attended first grade through high school, graduating in 1942. She was a member of the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Indianola, Iowa. Interment of cremains will be in Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, Illinois. No other services are planned at this time.
