Dixie Davidson, 73, of New Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 10, 2023. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Des Moines. A Graveside service will be held 2 p.m., following Mass in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Dixie is survived by her loving husband, Marvin; children, Melissa (Kevin) Munyon; Tonya (Josh) Truman; grandchildren, Allie Blanford, Kyle Blanford, Brittany (Jon) Burgardt; great-grandchildren, Xavier and Vincent Blanford, RJ and Liv Burgardt; sisters, Mary Adams, Connie (George) Vasey, Linda (Chuck) Edwards, Marsha Beener, Holly (Kirk) Jackson; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Virginia Beener; brother, Louis Beener Jr.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Reciting of the Rosary will begin at 7 p.m.  Memorials in her memory may be given to the New Virginia Fire & Rescue.
