Services for Dianne Grace Hildreth, 71, who passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 10, at Fairview Community Church, Hwy 69 South of Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Dianne attended the following schools in Des Moines: Park Avenue, Lincoln Heights Lutheran, Abraham Lincoln High School, Drake University; DMACC in Ankeny; and Vale National in Texas.
Dianne accepted Jesus as her personal savior at 10 years old and served her Lord throughout her entire life. She held the high honor of Section Representation for Missionette's, a national girls ministry, and was an officer in the Christian Union Women's Fellowship. She was a district bible quiz coach, a Sunday School teacher, and was instrumental in planning and serving at many church events and activities.
Dianne retired from Ruby Van Meter School in Des Moines in 2009, where she was Industrial Arts Coordinator, instructing and adapting assistive devices for handicapped children, and worked one-on-one with a child who was blind and deaf. In her spare time, she was a Residential Real Estate representative for Iowa Realty in the West Des Moines Office and enjoyed other jobs helping others.
Dianne enjoyed pouring herself into people including the homebound, missions, hospice, impoverished, family, and friends, which Dianne was a friend to all.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall Hildreth; children, Patricia Gamble, Debbie (Mark) Spidle, Jeff Hildreth and Kristina Kirkwood; five grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Ronald) Grimmer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Walter and Bernice Higgins; and siblings, Edwin "Buddy" Andresen, Ronald Andresen, and Linda Petersen.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2018, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Fairview Community Church in her name.
