DIANA ANDRIES Indianola Services for Diana Marie Andries, 70, formerly of Burlington, IA, who passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, will be held 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 9 with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Indianola Church of Christ in Indianola. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 10 in the Dolbee Cemetery in Mediapolis, IA. Survivors include her children, Rhonda Andries, of Temple, TX, Twyla and Troy Sears; grandchildren, Skylar Long, of Temple, TX, Donnelle Gire, of Burlington, IA, Shawna Strong, of Des Moines, IA; sisters, Mary Chamberlain of Indianola, IA and Theresa Bauerbach of Muscatine, IA. She was preceded in death by husband, Max Andries; father, Felix McNamee; mother, Helen Hires; brothers, Butch McNamee, Patrick McNamee and a set of twins. Diana graduated from Burlington High School Class of 1961 and then continued her education by studying Nursing at Southeastern Community College. Diana's working career includes IAAP, Mercy Hospital, St. Francis, Home Health Care Provider, Burlington Basket Factory, and Lamont Limited where she finally retired from Vista Bakery. Diana married Max Duane Andries on November 21, 1970. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying life and socializing. She was an avid reader and loved attending church functions and embroidering, camping, swimming, picnicking, long walks, volunteering, exercising and attending her grandson Skylar's dance competitions as well as being a mother and grandmother. Memorials may be given to the family in her name.
