Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dennis Lee Moser was born to Dwight R. and Dorothy (Bredberg) Moser on October 4, 1959. Dennis was the youngest of four children. He was a proud graduate of Indianola High School in 1978. He remained close to many of his classmates and recently helped plan a class reunion.

Dennis married the love of his life, Georgeanna McVey, on January 24, 1981. They welcomed two sons, Dwight Lee, born August 28, 1983, and Daniel Robert, born on the same date three years later.

Dennis grew up on the family farm and was active in FFA during high school, beginning a lifelong love of farming. As an adult, Dennis and Georgie raised hogs, cattle, corn, and soybeans alongside their boys. He also participated in what he called “travel agriculture,” raising crops in Hawaii and Louisiana. Dennis was a lover of International Tractors, especially the 1206, which was his first tractor and still sits on the farm today.

Dennis enjoyed eating, talking about eating, planning where to eat, and going out to eat. He made sure everyone knew the noon meal was called “dinner,” not “lunch.” He enjoyed a good steak, prime rib, oysters, and loved trying new foods.

Denny loved to travel and liked getting out of Iowa during the cold winter months. He enjoyed jumping in the pickup and heading south, but Hawaii was his favorite place. He loved taking cruises, though nobody was ever quite sure whether it was for the food, the shows, or the ports of call. He especially loved a midnight buffet. He also caused Georgie plenty of worry about making it back to the ship on time.

Denny LOVED the Warren County Fair and the Iowa State Fair. Some of his favorite things to do were people watch, socialize, visit the barns and exhibits, attend the tractor and pickup pulls, and watch the draft horse shows. He liked watching his boys and friends’ children show livestock. Dennis enjoyed the Milo Fourth of July festivities, especially the parade. He attended the Old Threshers Reunion, rodeos, and farm shows, and loved delving into agricultural history.

Dennis was spontaneous. If he decided he wanted to do something, it was going to happen. There was no party he didn’t want to be part of. Most of all, Dennis was ornery. From endowing friends’ children with unexpected livestock to making offhand comments just to banter with folks, he loved getting a rise out of someone.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Georgeanna; sons, Dwight L. (Annie) Moser and Daniel “Danny” (Nicole) Moser; grandchildren, Allison and Annamarie Moser, and Kaylee, Jason, and Ilyssa Moser. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight R. and Dorothy (Bredberg) Moser, and his brother, Steve Moser.
