A Celebration of Life Service for Dena Marie Hall, 58, of Indianola who passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 in Des Moines surrounded by her family, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Dena lived her life for others. She had the biggest servant heart. She was a devoted, caring, and understanding wife. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, mom, and Grandma to everyone who knew her. She loved fishing, music, writing, crafting, playing games with family, and was a rolle bolle champion. She impacted more lives than she could have ever imagined. She always said, "If I reach just one person, then I've made a difference." Even though she gained her angel wings before any of us would have wanted, it would have been selfish of us to try and keep her here. She is free to fly and through her we will keep shining.

Dena is survived by her husband John Hall; children, Jeremy Hall, Justin (Jordan) Hall, Jonnah (Jacob) Simpson, Jessica (Lexy) Bargas and Allen (Dwala) Lehman; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Shirley Shank; father, Doug (Kimary) DeBrower; sister, Denise Mundy; and brothers, Darrel (Charlie) DeBrower and Boone (Katie) DeBrower.  She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Janes Hall; Grandma and Grandpa Janes; Grandma and Grandpa DeBrower and aunt Lola.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026 at Overton Funeral Home.  For those in attendance for both visitation and service, the family requests bright colors in honor of Dena as a reminder to Keep Shining.  Memorials in memory of Dena may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
