Our beloved Deloris Green died August 15, 2009 at Indianola Good Samaritan Care Center. Deloris was born February 10, 1924 to Harry and Inez Coles. She has lived in Warren County most of her life.
She married Jack Green July 15, 1940 and to this union 12 children were born; Athol, Arthur, Brenda, Kenda, Barbara, Garry, Steve, Joe, Judy, Cindy, Ona and Kelly. Deloris was employed by Simpson College, working in Barker Hall for 30 years before retiring.
Deloris loved to go camping, fishing and listening to good old country music. She enjoyed the church and the friends she had there, growing big gardens and especially loved having all her children together for family outings or holidays.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; twin sons, Athol and Arthur; twin daughters, Brenda and Kenda and five brothers; Rex, Olin, Emil, Wylie and Randall Coles; her mother and father Inez and Harry Coles. She is survived by eight children, Barb (Don) Seymour, Garry (Leah) Green, Steve (Sheila) Green, Joe (Cheryl) Green, Judy (Rod) Page, Cindy (Greg) Bellman, Ona (Wayne) Lovell, Kelly (Rhonda) Green, 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of many wonderful friends.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Chapel of Faith Church in Indianola with Rev. John Long conducting the service.
