Delbert Lowell Kirby, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 in Des Moines.  Private family services will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Delbert was born on September 5, 1939 in Moulton, IA to Leslie and Florence (Howard) Kirby. On June 27 ^th , 1959 in Centerville, Iowa, Marget and Delbert Kirby were united in marriage.  They shared 61 years of marriage and were blessed with three daughters and a son, Kathi, Karen, Lisa and Michael.

He was an Ag Mechanic, loving and caring husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Delbert's most significant memories are his marriage day, the total love and support from his wife for 61 years, the birth of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, camping days with friends, family and fishing.

Delbert is survived by his; three daughters and a son, Kathi Bonnett of Norwalk, Iowa, Karen Bright of Indianola, Iowa, Lisa Breeding of Indianola, Iowa, and Michael Kirby of Indianola, Iowa; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Delbert was preceded in death by his wife Marget Kirby, parents, seven siblings, Larry Kirby, Pete Kirby, Erma Boss, Ila Dene Lamb, Curtis Kirby, Ilo Jean Spurgeon and Iris McNamara.

Memorials may be directed, in Delbert's name, to ARL or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
