Services for Delbert Gerald "Jerry" Hunter, 80 who passed away at home Saturday, August 30, 2014 will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 5, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial with military rites will be held in the Belmont Cemetery, rural Milo, Iowa. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Patty (Dennis) Marshall and Pam Hunter both of Milo; brothers, Pat (Dennise) and David (Ruth) Hunter; sisters, Joyce (Linda) Hunter and Donna Greer; three grandchildren, Daron (Chris) Marshall, Gerald (Amber) Marshall and Heath (Amanda) Hunter; four great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Cooper and Ben Marshall and Teagen Hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith "Judy" Hunter; daughter, Peggy Hunter; brothers, Jim and Donald Hunter and sister, Mona Van Dorn. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given in his name to the Milo American Legion Post # 263 or Unity Point Hospice.
