DEE ETTE DAVIDSON Indianola Dee Ette Davidson, 80, of Indianola, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Graveside services and burial of cremains will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 20 in the Humeston Cemetery, Humeston, IA. Dee Ette was born January 31, 1934 in Osceola, Ia to Robert Hugh and Thirza (Ivy) Carlton. She attended High Prairie Country School, Humeston Grade School and graduated from Humeston High School in 1951 and was a member of the United Methodist Church where she was baptized and united in marriage on October 25, 1953 to William Benjamin Davidson. While William served in the United States Navy, they lived in Whidbey Island, WA. After moving to Indianola, Dee Ette worked at Eaton's Studio for 9 years and the Iowa Department of Human Services for 28 years, retiring on December 31, 2001. Dee Ette had been a Camp Fire and Blue Bird Leader and loved gardening and flowers. Most important to her was her family whom she loved and cared for unconditionally. She helped family and friends in ways that can never be repaid. Survivors include her daughters Debra Little and Kathryn Spare, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers William and James Carlton, and great-granddaughter Kylie Christine Hunter. Memorials may be given in Dee Ette's memory to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
