Deborah “Debbie” Love Whipple, 79 of Indianola, Iowa, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026. Per her wishes no services are planned.

Debbie was born December 1, 1946 to Robert and Dorthy (Love) Flanigan in Albia, Iowa.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Tracy Atess) Whipple and Paul (Laura) Whipple; sister, Chris Williams; sister-in-law, Conni (Charles) Kimpston; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Proceeding her in death are her husband, John Whipple II; parents, Robert and Dorthy Flanigan; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Marsha Flanigan; parents-in-law, John and Grace Whipple; and sister-in-law, Mary Helen Stone.

Debbie’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Addington Place of Des Moines and to Suncrest Hospice.

Memorials in memory of Debbie may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
