Services for David Eugene Young, 73, who died suddenly at home from a heart attack on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, February 27 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA, with burial following in the St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles, IA.

David was born February 4, 1937 in St. Charles, IA, the son of Forrest and Phyllis Young. He played basketball and baseball in high school graduating from St. Charles High School in 1956. David retired from Dewey Ford where he had worked as a car salesman for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, going to the horse races and spending time with his family.

David is survived by his son, William Young (Dione); 3 daughters, Sandra Peck, Lori Downs (Larry) and Lesley Gesaman (Joel); 5 grandsons, Forrest, Tucker and Garrett Young and Brady and Lucas Peck; and 3 sisters, Patricia Brandt (Don), Christine Day (Dennis) and Sheryl Mattern (David); and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 26 at Overton Funeral Home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet friends.
