David Keeney, 45, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at home surround by his family in Norwalk from a courageous battle of cancer. Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2024 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Private family inurnment will take place in the Belmont Cemetery, Milo, Iowa.

David is survived by his loving wife, Crystal; his pride and joy children, McKenzie and Zach; father, Martin Keeney; sister, Jackie (Dustin) Purcell; nieces and nephews, Bryce (Hayden) Keeney, Brianna Keeney, Shay, Beau and Shelby Purcell, Lucy and Josh Koons; great nephew; Trayce Keeney; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Katie) Koons. He is preceded in death by his mother, Becky Lea Keeney; brother, Brian Keeney.

David was born and raised in Milo, Iowa and graduated from Southeast Warren High School in 1997. David enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs and following Sprint Car racing. David had a very positive outlook on life which many admired and he always greeted everyone he met with his kind smile. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
